Launch week: seven days, one board
A day-by-day plan for launching a product on ExitFounder's weekly board and two or three other platforms without burning the whole week.
- Who it is for
- Founders with a working product and at least a few users
- Time
- One ISO week, 1–2 hours a day
- You end up with
- A top-three finish on the weekly board or a clear reason why not, plus a launch page you can reuse.
- 1
Monday — pick the week and the platforms
Claim or submit on ExitFounder so the product joins this ISO week. Choose two other platforms from the directory catalogue: one high-DR launch platform and one community where your users already are. Do not schedule Product Hunt and three other launches on the same day.
- 2
Tuesday — write the one-liner and the story
One sentence a stranger understands, one paragraph on why you built it, three screenshots. Run the interpretation checker: if the model cannot tell what the product is, your launch copy will not fix it.
- 3
Wednesday — assets
Open Graph image, a 30-second screen recording, and the badge for your site. Generate meta tags and JSON-LD if your homepage has none.
- 4
Thursday — warm up
Tell existing users and your list what is happening and when. Ask for honest comments, not upvotes; comments rank higher in what readers trust.
- 5
Friday — launch day
Post early in your users' time zone. Reply to every comment within the hour. Share the profile page, not the homepage — the profile has the vote button.
- 6
Weekend — keep the thread alive
Two follow-ups: what changed because of feedback, and one number (signups, upgrades). The board closes Sunday 23:59 UTC.
- 7
Next Monday — read the archive
The week's page is archived at /week/{year}/{week}. Note what the top three had that you did not, and add the platforms you skipped to next quarter's list.
