# Submit to ExitFounder

## Steps
1. Normalise the domain (apex, no www). Check for an existing profile: https://www.exitfounder.io/api/v1/startups?q={domain}. If found, the founder should **claim** it: https://www.exitfounder.io/startup/{slug}/claim.
2. If not found, preview what the crawler will detect: tech stack https://www.exitfounder.io/api/tools/tech-stack?url={domain}, Domain Rating https://www.exitfounder.io/api/tools/domain-rating?url={domain}.
3. Confirm with the user, then send them to https://www.exitfounder.io/submit?d={domain}. The profile is generated from the official site (labelled as unverified) and reviewed; claiming verifies domain ownership (DNS / meta tag / file).
4. Do not submit on the user's behalf without explicit confirmation. Founder API keys for `submit_startup` / `claim_startup` are coming; see https://www.exitfounder.io/auth.md.
